Impact Project Management: Contract Administration & Superintendency

We provide independent, client-side contract administration and act as Contract Superintendent under the terms of the construction contract. Our role is to ensure the agreement is administered fairly, consistently and in full accordance with its provisions, while rigorously safeguarding the Principal’s commercial and contractual interests throughout the life of the project.

We take a proactive, disciplined approach to contract management. This includes continuous monitoring of contractor performance against the agreed scope, programme, quality standards and commercial arrangements; rigorous cost control; systematic management of variations; and the maintenance of comprehensive, auditable records. Our objective is to ensure the contractor delivers exactly what has been contracted, on time, to the required standard and within the commercial framework established by the parties.

In performing our duties as Contract Superintendent we administer the contract impartially and with complete transparency. This encompasses:

• Issuing instructions, notices and determinations in accordance with the contract
• Monitoring contractual compliance across scope, quality, programme, safety and other obligations
• Assessing and determining progress claims, variations, extensions of time and other contractual entitlements
• Maintaining accurate, contemporaneous records of all contractual correspondence, instructions, decisions and events
• Proactively identifying risks and implementing measures designed to prevent issues escalating into formal claims or disputes
• Certifying practical completion, final completion and related contractual milestones

 We deliver these services with independence, transparency and professionalism. Both parties’ rights and obligations are properly observed at all times, and the integrity of the contractual process is maintained from project commencement through to final account and close-out.
